Great tasting food. We ordered to go so we dont know what the service was like. But they ladies were friendly when I dashed in to ask for a to go menu. I had the sweet and sour chicken. Big chunks of all white meat chicken (none of that dark mystery meat, big chunks of peppers and pineapple. Lots of sauce too, which I love. It was delicious!

Good food pretty fast. The portions are not huge, but are filling. Affordable and friendly.

My husband and I prefer this restaurant over other Chinese food places in town. The service is great and welcoming. We normally get a combo meal that comes with Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoon, and Egg Drop Soup. I personally love the Egg Drop Soup!

If I could give no stars I would. Went here last summer while I was pregnant because I had always preferred their food. I had to use the restroom and while using it I saw at least 10 cockroaches!! I practically ran out of the bathroom, cancelled our order and left!! Never again will I ever eat there!!!

Literally the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. I grew up in Platte City, but have now lived on both coasts, and I still crave their AMAZING crab rangoons all the time. I take everyone I know here when I'm back in town, and everyone agrees that they've never tasted better. The more authentic and gourmet places in large cities never seem to compare to this little gem. Now, if they would only start delivering to California...

The service is always wonderful. The best time to eat is lunch. Major food for your dollar. We are repeat customers.

We came here for lunch as it was the only Chinese restaurant open on a Sunday that we could find. It was really good and the service was great even though they were busy and only had two waiters. I found out they were affiliated with the Red Dragon in downtown KC and it was just as good!! Glad we found this spot :-)

My husband and I ate here for our first time today. It was great! The food was great, and cheap! It gives off the family owned vibe. Our server was an elderly man, he kept checking on us, was very polite and kind. Customer service was one of best I've had in along time. We will be coming back, we finally found a Chinese food restaurant near post! Love love it. I would recommend this restaurant!

My son & I ate here today for the first time- and LAST TIME. Half way through my meal, I looked down to scoop a bite, & I saw a BLACK HAIR in my sauce!! Needless to say, I immediately LOST MY APPETITE!!! I showed the waiter & he refused to acknowledge me. I pushed it around with my fork-telling him that it was disgusting to find that in my food! He just took my plate & never even apologized. A few moments later he brought us the bill, still not acknowledging what had just happened. As he walked away, I just sat there in disbelief. When he walked by again, I asked for the manager. She came over & said he had not told her, & had probably not heard me, that he was busy. I told her that was not true, that he looked right at it. Then she came back with a handful of raw mushrooms & told me that he said it was just the black part of the mushroom (as she tried to show me the mushrooms--admitting that he did hear me, but chose to ignore me!). I told her that his theory was ridiculous, I cook with mushrooms all the time, & I know the difference between thick black hair & mushrooms!! She gave me half an apology, while still insisting that it was part of the mushroom. Then, handing me $5, said she hoped we would come back. I should have received a REAL apology, not an argument that I didn't know what I was talking about! And I should have received a FULL refund, especially since I could not finish my food! I will NEVER eat there again, and will WARN others of the HORRIBLE service!!!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
